While Riccardo prefers dry fly fishing, he has a special place in his
heart for sight fishing with nymphs. His obsession for this discipline
brought him around every corner of Italy, first and foremost around the
Appennino Centrale, and then to fish countless times in almost every
stream of Slovenia, his halieutic second home. He also has had his share
of experiences in Austria, Croatia, England and Sweden.
A skilled craftsman of the artificial fly, he exclusively fishes with
bamboo rods he builds with his own hands, for himself and to share with
others.
His motto goes something like this: “first look, then see, then think,
then understand and act!”
